Carol was born in Seattle and first came to Montana as a youth, nine to be exact. Her time was spent back and forth between the city and country while growing up, but Montana was always home to her. After graduating from West Seattle High School, she joined the U.S Army and served in the Military District of Washington D.C. and the Armed Forces Far East Headquarters in Japan. The Rocky Mountains eventually beckoned her back home where she happily raised her three children.
Carol worked for the Beaverhead County Department of Revenue in the Appraisal Assessment Division, gaining experience in deciphering deeds and surveys to have property ownership correctly assessed and taxed, while mapping the results. This experience along with some cattle ranching piqued her interest in real estate, creating a natural transition into the world of real estate. Carol has the local knowledge and marketing experience to successfully negotiate your buying, selling or investing ventures and looks forward to doing so. Carol likes people and will work hard to make your real estate dreams come true.

Growing up in the midwest, outdoor recreation in the form of hiking, fishing, boating and hunting has always been a passion and guiding principle of Doug’s idea of living. In that love for all things outdoors, he developed a great affinity for good land in beautiful places, especially in the mountain west. Doug wasn’t born here, but “I got here as quick as I could.”
Doug moved his family to SW Montana in 1986 to take a job building musical instruments, i.e. guitars and mandolins. The needs of a growing family necessitated starting a home construction company, and Doug has nearly 40 years of experience in construction trades and general contracting, building numerous timber frame homes in SW Montana. Doug has bought several remote, undeveloped ranches in Montana and transformed them into beautiful places to live. Therefore, he has extensive experience developing remote properties from the very start of the process through completion of homes and out buildings in the timber frame tradition.
That experience has led to a thorough understanding of why and how people can turn their dreams of owning and developing beautiful places into a thing of great value and substance. Doug understands your vision very well and can help you get there, whether it’s buying a cattle ranch, horse property, game range, small recreational property, or a house in town.
